Kim has a genuine heart for loving our LGBT kids well. I struggled navigating my child's coming out and not knowing how to build trust when my child was terrified. I longed for direction and guidance for how to walk this road, wanting to honor God and create a loving and safe space for my child.
I felt very alone. When I finally met another parent also walking this path, I felt such relief knowing I wasn't alone. I celebrate that Kim is offering tools and coaching for parents who, like me, needed some help from a friend who understands the tension of loving well and honoring God. What a blessing and encouragement it will be for those families who are just beginning this journey. I am confident that there are many who will benefit greatly from Kim's heart to help families and honor God.

I see you--Christian parent searching for guidance as you navigate your LGBTQ+ child’s journey.
I know your questions. I understand your fears. I know how your faith feels rocked. I know you need to process your feelings and plant your feet on solid ground after a child discloses an LGBTQ+ identity.
Don’t try to navigate this LGBTQ+ journey alone. I’ve walked this road myself—and I remember how isolating it felt inside the church and community. My heart is to equip you with biblical wisdom and practical support so you can understand your story with confidence.
Let’s Get Acquainted
I’m a wife, mom, and Christian mentor who walks beside parents navigating the messy, complicated, God-gifted parts of life—especially when parenting LGBTQ+ children. My calling is shaped by deep dedication to my family, gratitude for people, and a passion to encourage Christian parents who feel overwhelmed by circumstances that don’t have simple answers or linear solutions.
When our son revealed his deeply held secret that he was gay, it left our entire family with few answers and little support within our local church and community. After years of navigating this lonely road, God moved my heart to create resources, encouragement, and faith-based guidance for families with LGBTQ+ kids because too many other families felt similarly isolated.
With honesty and real-life vulnerability, I share my story through a grace-filled, Scripture-anchored framework designed to support Christian families. (I don’t mind sharing my flaws), and through a thought-provoking framework,
I’m passionate about helping Christian parents navigate the complexities surrounding LGBTQ+ identity while anchoring ourselves to God’s promises.
Inviting both parents and children to the table with open hearts, my deepest desire is to safeguard relationships by bridging the gaps between understanding Biblical promises, Gospel love and the LGBTQ+ community.
With a passion for the Word, I’m purposeful in preserving the integrity of the words on the pages of Scripture and the people for whom they were written. I feel privileged that you join me on the crazy journey of facing fears, understanding perspectives, and opening new doors of communication to understand those we love.

Kim is the real deal. She is walking the difficult road, both loving her son and honoring God, with minimal guidance from the church. She teaches us how to listen well to receive the truth of our kids’ experiences, to hold space for them without losing our faith. Kids are dying. We need to respond. Kim is inviting us to pivot with her.

My immediate response when I think about Kim, is that she is a woman with the gift of joy. This gift might have come easy if she knew a life of little pain, but Kim is well acquainted with life’s sufferings. She has endured with a more profound, more abiding joy from walking through darkness near her Savior. “God proves to be good to the man who passionately waits, to the woman who diligently seeks. It’s a good thing to quietly hope, quietly hope for help from God” (The Message, Lamentations 3).
I have been privileged to call Kim my friend for close to thirty years. As young families raising our children together, I was often encouraged by Kim, who knew the importance of community in the Christian life. She and her husband led our small group with humility and joy that drew people together in authentic, deepening relationships.
Kim’s heart reflects Paul’s words in 2 Cor. 5:18-19, “Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation.” Reconciliation comes at a cost, a laying down of our swords so we can hear from the heart of others and “honor everyone” (1 Peter 2:17). Even when disagreements seem profound, she affirms we can still nod with an understanding of the person sitting across the table from us.

1 - Ten Misconceptions about LGBTQ+ PeopleÂ
Many people make wrong presumptions about the LGBTQ+ Community that cause damage. These false beliefs often stem from a lack of understanding, fear, or misinformation, and can lead to discrimination and isolation. For LGBTQ+ individuals, this can result in mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, and suicidal ideation. Knowing some key factors creates a bridge of understanding.
2 - Ten Things My Child Wants Me to KnowÂ
Research has shown that in Christian families, LGBTQ+ children hold more fear and anxiety over how their famlies will respond to their disclosure, because they struggle to navigate family beliefs with their LGBTQ+ feelings. Ten things kids want parents to know will help you avoid making presumptions about what your child wants or needs.
